Jenay Smith, MSS, LSW, is a licensed social worker, certified life coach, trauma-informed trainer, and ministry leader. Her work brings together trauma-informed expertise, faith, and practical tools to help individuals and organizations heal, grow, and thrive.
As Director of Training and Coaching Practice at the EACH Network (Economic and Community Healing Network), she designs and delivers trauma-informed, healing-centered care education for nonprofits, residential treatment programs, youth-serving organizations, and community groups. Her trainings help staff and leaders understand trauma, ACEs, and toxic stress, recognize trauma responses in themselves and others, and respond with curiosity, empathy, and healthy accountability. Her expertise in youth and global trauma-informed care is shaped by years of engaging young people through life skills development, workforce programming, financial literacy education, and emotional support.
Through her coaching practice, she helps women in ministry leadership and everyday life break free from feelings of inadequacy and walk confidently in their calling. Her T.R.U.T.H. framework guides clients to identify the lies they have believed, uncover God's truth, and anchor their identity in it through consistent daily practice. She leads this work through one-on-one coaching, workshops, and her six-week intensive, Called, Not Qualified, pairing spiritual growth with practical tools for emotional wellness, confidence, and leadership development.
Jenay also serves as co-leader of the Women's Ministry at Antioch Christian Fellowship in Philadelphia, where she mentors, teaches, and facilitates small groups and gatherings that help women grow spiritually and heal emotionally. Whether she is training a team, coaching a leader, or walking alongside one woman, Jenay is dedicated to creating safe, empowering spaces where people can heal, build confidence, and thrive.
In this powerful session from our Women’s Fellowship, we explore the impact of trauma and how God meets us in our pain to restore, heal, and reveal our true identity and calling. From Eve to the Woman at the Well to Paul, discover how Scripture points us to freedom, healing, and purpose through Jesus.
Trusting God Through Transitions is a message you don't want to miss! Liz Becerra and Jenay Smith bring a powerful and timely teaching on one of life's most challenging seasons — transition. Through the story of Ruth and Naomi, they unpack how the same event can impact two people in completely different ways, and what that reveals about the posture of our hearts.
"Coaching with Jenay helped begin my journey of becoming more vulnerable. Before meeting with her, I was struggling with practicing vulnerability in different relationships. My heart was very guarded with specific people out of fear of being hurt by them. She challenged me with varying activities and helped me to slowly un-guard my heart. It was such a blessing to receive coaching from Jenay and I would highly recommend her!"
